The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) warmly celebrates Brigadier-General S.K. Usman (rtd), mni (SEC 40, 2018) on the occasion of his birthday.

On behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire AANI family, the President of the Association, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, extends heartfelt felicitations to a distinguished officer, strategic communicator, and respected national figure whose career reflects discipline, patriotism, and professionalism.

Brigadier-General Usman is widely acknowledged for his outstanding service to Nigeria, particularly during his tenure as Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR) of the Nigerian Army. He also served meritoriously as the Immediate Past National Publicity Secretary of AANI, where he significantly enhanced the visibility, credibility, and strategic communication profile of the Association.

Beyond his military career, he continues to contribute to national development as a security consultant, public affairs analyst, and thought leader. He holds the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Kanwan Katsina and currently serves as Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Confederation of African Journalists (CAJ).

AANI joins his family, colleagues, and well-wishers in wishing him good health, long life, and continued impactful service to the nation and humanity.
